Meta Bright Group Bhd’s 70%-owned subsidiary, Expogaya Sdn Bhd, has secured an expanded Islamic banking facility of up to RM31.82 million from AmBank Islamic Bhd, bolstering working capital, trade financing and cash flow as it ramps up infrastructure supply across Sabah.

The enlarged facility, comprising Cashline-i, Multi Trade Finance-i and Invoice Financing-i sublimits, builds on the RM43.9 million secured last year, reflecting Expogaya’s strong revenue, growing customer base and replenished order book.

The financing is expected to strengthens its capacity to meet demand from Sabah’s infrastructure boom, including the Pan Borneo Highway, Sabah-Sarawak Link Road Phase 2, Tawau Airport expansion and various rural road, water and utilities projects under Budget 2026’s RM6.9 billion allocation.

Executive Director Derek Phang said the facility enables faster scaling, improved cash flow and enhanced participation in government and private-sector projects.

He added that the group’s 2024 acquisition of Expogaya has proven strategically sound, reinforcing Meta Bright’s high-growth building materials division and supporting long-term earnings growth.
