Meta Bright Posts 222% Revenue Surge For 9M25
Meta Bright Group Bhd, a diversified conglomerate listed on the Main Market, reported a stellar financial performance for the nine months ended March 31, 2025 (9M25), with revenue soaring 222% year-on-year (YoY) to RM175 million.
The strong growth was underpinned by solid contributions from its building materials, leasing, hospitality and energy segments.
The building materials division, led by Expogaya Sdn Bhd — acquired in January 2024 — was the standout performer, contributing RM141.62 million to overall revenue.
The group’s profit attributable to shareholders (PATAMI), meanwhile, rose 145% YoY to RM6.95 million, up from RM2.83 million in the same period last year, underscoring the group’s operational efficiency and successful diversification strategy.
Quarterly revenue in the third quarter ended March 31, 2025, also reflected strong momentum, climbing 57% YoY to RM53.42 million.
Commenting on the outstanding financial results, the group’s Corporate and Strategic Planning Executive Director Derek Phang Kiew Lim said the solid performance for 9M25 reflects the effectiveness of Meta Bright’s diversification and growth strategies implemented over the past year
“We’re particularly encouraged by the sustained improvement in our operating cash flows, which provides us with greater flexibility to pursue strategic opportunities,” Phang added.
Looking ahead, Phang shared that Meta Bright aims to tap into new opportunities in property development, energy and infrastructure, especially leveraging the infrastructure boom in Sabah.
“The group also plans to further strengthen its hospitality arm, including enhancements to the Renai Hotel,” he said.
While remaining cautiously optimistic amid ongoing geopolitical risks, he noted that the group is committed for robust risk management and long-term value creation.
“With a healthy order book and strong fundamentals, Meta Bright is well-positioned to sustain its growth momentum through the remainder of FY25,” Phang concluded.
