Meta Bright lands RM30m ready-mixed concrete contract for Sabah project

META Bright Group Bhd has been awarded a RM30 million contract by China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd (CSEC Malaysia) to supply ready-mixed concrete for the Boulevard 360 Bundusan project in Sabah.

The contract was granted to Expogaya Sdn Bhd, a 70%-owned subsidiary of Meta Bright, with a contract period running from April 28, 2025, to August 31, 2028.

The provisional contract value of RM30 million is subject to the actual volume of materials supplied. This initial supply order is part of the ongoing project, with the potential for additional orders based on Expogaya’s performance and delivery.

Boulevard 360 Bundusan, located in Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, is a RM1.1 billion mixed-use development comprising three residential towers and approximately 330,000 square feet of commercial space.

Meta Bright’s ED, Derek Phang Kiew Lim, expressed that this contract solidifies the company’s presence in Sabah’s growing construction market and sets the stage for future collaborations with CSEC Malaysia.

Meta Bright’s shares closed unchanged at 12 sen today, with a market capitalisation of RM303.8 million. — TMR
