Meta Bright Expands Renai Hotel Brand To Kota Kinabalu

Meta Bright Group Bhd is extending its Renai Hotel brand into the Damai Suites development in Kota Kinabalu after the group’s subsidiary, Meta Bright Hospitality Sdn Bhd, acquired 58 commercial suites.

At the same time, Meta Bright Hospitality has also signed a Hotel Management Agreement for three additional floors, transforming a significant portion of Damai Suites into a hospitality asset, managed directly by the group.

Managing Director Lee Chee Kiang said this is a strategic shift from the group’s traditional “build-and-sell” to the long-term, cash-flow generating operations of “own-and-operate” model.

“The move targets Sabah’s booming tourism sector while creating a mixed-use lifestyle hub for medical tourists, business travellers and young families as the facility will integrate smart technologies such as self-check-in/out kiosks and automated parking to boost efficiency and reduce costs,” Lee added.

Located in the mature commercial precinct of Damai, the development is positioned to capture demand from the surrounding business district and medical facilities, distinguishing itself from the saturated waterfront hotel market.
